The result is an extremely low-density flexible solid with remarkable insular properties that reduces thermal bridging. This semi-transparent material is light-weight, strong, durable, and known for the way "light scatters within the material." Aerogel insulation has been incorporated into the polycarbonate walls and translucent roof of the house.
